Scarlett Gerami

My name is Scarlett and I am the founder and director of Figgy Farm Animal Sanctuary, Inc. Ever since I was a small child, I have had a deep love for all animals. I spent as much time as I could around them, including volunteering at horse farms and befriending moths and other small critters. I ended up becoming a dog groomer and worked in the dog and cat rescue world for a while. This experience taught me a lot, but ultimately it wasn't my true calling. Once I started volunteering at sanctuaries, I knew that I had finally found what I was meant to do. I love that farmed animal rescue encompasses love for all animals by embracing and promoting veganism. I decided to make it my mission to start my own sanctuary, one specifically for pigs. I could not fathom how the world treats such intelligent, innocent beings. So I created a safe, welcoming place for them in my world. Now we are home to many healthy happy pigs & other animals that will live out their lives in peace at our sanctuary.
